Overview

VOLT worked closely with Reason One and St James Episcopal Church to design and install a new lighting system for their historical sanctuary.

VOLT integrated a new lighting system that will reduce operation expenses by converting all existing lighting locations from halogen to LED. The new fixtures are brighter while matching the warm white color that the congregation had previously experienced with the halogen fixtures.

In addition, VOLT custom-fabricated LED retrofit kits for the sanctuary’s historic stained glass & cast-iron chandeliers. The retrofit kits included a downlight as well as six addition led sources specifically designed to backlight the stained glass.

The fixtures selected allowed the venue to maintain their existing control and power infrastructure, cutting down on facility impact costs and time.

Challenges

Minimize facility impact costs. Maintain 3000K color temperature. Increase brightness.

Solutions

The fixtures selected allowed the venue to maintain their existing control and power infrastructure, cutting down on facility impact costs and time.

We provided various color temperature samples to receive client approval for the “warm white” color tone.

We selected LED fixtures that can output more light while using less power than the previously installed fixtures.
